"Art is first a form of communication," Beth concedes. "The work for me is required - it is my voice and it is my hope that the viewer can relate in some way. The elements of shape, form and color are those that I am intuitively drawn towards. As they come together in a composition 'that works', it is a wonderful feeling."

Inspired and informed frequently by the subtle and wonderful variety of design in the natural world, Beth's work for the design industry often includes organic, leaf-like shapes and patterns. Like nature, these lines and shapes wander unpredictably across the surface of a vase, platter or tile she has designed and take the viewer with them.
