Commissions

There are so many places for art and design in our lives. Your personal environment should be filled with art that inspires you. Beth Goldstein can create, design and even install a custom work of art to your specifications.

Commissioned pieces often are personalized and can include names and/or dates of individuals, life-cycle events, and other special occasions. Beth was recently commissioned to create a gift presented to the President and Mrs. G.W. Bush by an individual invited to the White House Chanukah party (c 2004) as well as one for the Governor and Mrs. Jeb Bush (c 2003). Is it just coincidence that her long time friend is the curator of the Governor’s Mansion in Tallahassee, Florida?!

Beth recently completed a commissioned artwork for Temple Sholom in Cincinnati, Ohio (c 2005). Together with the children of their Congregation, she designed, produced and installed a large-scale tile mural in commemoration of their fiftieth anniversary as a Congregation. For the duration of the commissioned project, Beth was the artist-in-residence at the Temple.

Commissioned pieces can be as large in scale as a wall installation or as small in scale as a commemorative platter. In every case, the commission is personally handled by Beth with a focus on the client’s request and the goal of creating something original and significant  that will always be treasured by the recipient in whose honor it was commissioned.

Beth’s forte’ is to collaborate one-on-one with the customer, client or company and create a proprietary design or exclusive line that will be produced solely for them. The Logo Giftware Collection (shown to the right as the main picture) created by Beth Goldstein for the Cincinnati Nature Center in Milford, Ohio (c 2005), is an example of a recent collaboration. Other commissioned art pieces (also shown to the right) include the Chanukah gift for President Bush and the White House(c 2004), a special Judaic thank-you gift for Mr. and Mrs. G. Korkin of Cincinnati, Ohio (c 2004), and the Commemorative tile installation for Temple Sholom in Cincinnati, Ohio (c 2005).
